Arcam Releases A50 Signature Integrated Amp & CD25 CD Player

ARCAM have expanded their Radia Series with the addition of the A50 Signature integrated amplifier and the CD25 CD player. Both models have a steel chassis, glass facias and OLED displays, and are available in a black finish.
The A50 Signature is the first ARCAM integrated amplifier to use a fully dual-mono Class G architecture producing 150wpc into 8 ohms and 220wpc into 4 ohms. Each channel is built as a discrete amplifier with its own PCB, output stage, Class G power stages, power regulation and dedicated windings within a single shared transformer. Powering the design is a centrally located power supply that provides separate analog and digital power to the seperated analog and digital circuitry.
Providing all the necessary digital to analogue conversion, the ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M DAC supports up to 32-bit/768KHz PCM and DSD1024. The DAC is configured in a fully differential configuration and is supported by an ESS reference voltage regulator. A50 control is available using the two front panel rotary controls, the supplied IR remote and various wired options.
Analogue connectivity includes; 3 x RCA stereo line, 2 x RCA MM/MC phono, 1 x stereo XLR line, 1 x RCA pre out and 2 pairs speaker binding posts. Digital connectivity includes; 1 x HDMI eARC, 1 x USB-C audio, 1 x TOSLINK and 2 x coaxial, plus two-way Bluetooth with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast. Wired control is available using the 3.5mm 12VDC trigger I/O, IR in and RJ45 network.
The CD25 is ARCAM’s new flagship CD player for the Radia Series. It uses two ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M DAC chips with ESS reference voltage regulators in a dual-mono balanced DAC architecture together with ESS Labs’ Hyperstream 4 technology. Its metal chassis has a glass fascia and an OLED display. A linear toroidal power supply supports the analogue electronics.
The internal structure is vibration-damped for consistent disc reading of CD, CD-R and CD-RW media. File formats supported include; WAV (LPCM), FLAC, MP3 and AAC with data sample rates up to 96KHz./24bit. Control is available using the front panel transport buttons and supplied IR remote.
Rear panel signal outputs include; 1 x stereo pair RCA and XLR analogue and 1 x coaxial and TOSLINK digital.
