One of this month’s biggest milestones is that PCBA production is now officially underway in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. It’s incredibly rewarding to see years of engineering begin taking physical form, with final assembly also planned in Canada as we move toward production.

Speaking of hardware development, one of the biggest challenges Pixelgen has faced this year has been sourcing memory devices. The explosive growth of artificial intelligence has created unprecedented demand across the global memory market. Massive AI data centers require enormous quantities of memory to train models, process information, and deliver results in real time.

Although the memory used in PXLVISION is not the same high-bandwidth memory found alongside AI processors, the surge in AI demand has created ripple effects throughout the entire semiconductor supply chain. Manufacturers have shifted production toward higher-margin memory products, inventories have tightened, lead times have increased, and pricing has climbed dramatically across many memory categories.

Behind the scenes, our engineering team continues refining firmware while implementing the final electrical updates required for compliance testing, equipment compatibility, and certification. Every effort is being made to keep the project on schedule, and as always, we’ll keep everyone informed if timelines change.

On the mechanical side, the aluminum enclosure design has now been finalized, and we’re genuinely thrilled with the result. The precision machining, finish, and overall build quality have exceeded our expectations, creating a product that looks every bit as premium as the technology inside.

We’re also deep into development of the on-screen display (OSD) and user interface, carefully crafting an experience that makes the DARBEE effect both intuitive and highly adaptable to virtually any home theater or display environment.
