Wow this is potentially great news. “Potentially” in the sense that it really has been a long time coming, with previously announced release dates that came and went. So I’m already skeptical of the announced August 30, 2026 release date. But I truly loved my Darbee 2K Processor. With judicious use on TV or projector, it just gave the image a perceived pop in focus and contrast. I remember that the better the original image quality the better the Darbee worked.
However, we are now in a 4K world. The image on my JVC N8 is already excellent. So will this new unit do anything great? For $900 I will wait the first run out and look for some reviews.
And don’t worry Paul. If this turns out to 1. actually arrive on the market and 2. truly improve a 4K image. I can buy this for you in US and ship it to the UK.

This is similar to Cybertruck, announced 4 yrs ago for $599…now on sale for $900. Let’s hope it sells better than the Tesla Edsel. (There are entire 4k projectors that sell for the same price!)
Hi Jerry,
Great to hear from you. Yes, let’s hope that this time the 4K version actually makes it to market when they say it will. Like you I will be waiting to read a review or two to understand what it can do to “improve” a 4K image before buying.
I have asked Jack if the 4K Darbee will be available in the UK plus its full specifications but I am still waiting to hear back. I may have to take you up on your offer if the improvements are as good on 4K as they were on HD!
I should take ownership of my new house this Friday…here’s hoping.

Paul
Hi Cory,
I have to assume that manufacturing the faster silicon and the various global issues really hurt the original launch date. Lets hope that they have got things together for this re-launch.
