KEF has just launched a significant expansion of their subwoofer range with the addition of the; KC92 Force-Cancelling Subwoofer and four new models in the Kube MIE Subwoofer Series – the Kube 8 MIE, Kube 10 MIE, Kube 12 MIE, and Kube 15 MIE.
Both the KC92 and Kube MIE Series feature KEF’s proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithm, the Music Integrity Engine(MIE). Tailored for each model, the MIE ensures every component within each subwoofer is fully optimized. Powered by MIE, the Intelligent Bass Extension (iBX), analyses the input signal and allows the subwoofer to play louder, remaining dynamic at any listening level and unlocking the full potential of the custom driver.
KC92 Subwoofer
Moving up from the KC62 is the KC92 that increase the diameter of each driver to 9″ providing a bass response down to a claimed 11Hz in this sealed gloss black or white cabinet design. It employs the same KC62 platform design that uses; side-firing force-cancelling drivers, P-Flex driver surrounds, twin 500 Watt Class D amplifiers and Musical Integrity Engine (MIE) system control.
Input connectivity is via; RCA line-level and molex speaker connections plus KW1 wireless compatibility. An RCA line-level output is available for loop-through, plus high-pass filter and level controls together with selectable room placement modes.
