Exposure 3510 CD Player – Quick Look

Celebrating 50 years in the business, Exposure Electronics has just announced the release of the 3510 top loading CD player that completes the 3510 family of hi-fi products. Clearly, despite the lack luster sales of CD media there must be a growing demand to play all those stored plastics discs.

This new design is constructed using an aluminum case and extruded front panel, both according to Exposure control electromagnetic interference and unwanted resonances. The supplied remote provides the usual transport controls and also allows the front panel display to be turned off, claiming to enhance the sound quality.

This new design is based upon Burr Brown, dual mono, PCM1704 24bit/96KHz DACs that are supported by a high-stability crystal clock reference and dedicated power supply regulator for the audio stages and transport, all ensuring low jitter performance. The highly optimized audio circuitry and pcb foil layouts use fully discrete output stages and are supported by multiple stages of regulation and a large toroidal power transformer, that uses separate windings for the CD transport mechanism and audio stages.

Finally, rear panel analog connectivity includes a stereo pair of unbalanced RCA connectors with digital connectivity supported using; SP/DIF, coaxial and “Toslink” optical.
