Clearaudio Debuts New Flagship Unity Pivoted Tonearm

Clearaudio of Germany have just announced that their new flagship Unity pivotal tonearm. This new tonearm unites the proven single-point bearing with a newly developed magnetic stabilization design. It is available in either a black or silver finish.

This 10-inch monocoque carbon-fiber Unity tonearm combines classic Clearaudio features such as; interchangeable counterweights that are magnetically attached to the counterweight sled, magnetic anti-skating and supports micrometer-precise adjustments with lockable smooth height (VTA) adjustment during playback. Its precise azimuth adjustment located at the bearing housing also features locking. Dynamic anti-skating is accomplished without mechanical linkages, utilizing a series of magnets in the bearing housing and an adjustable thumb screw. The arm is also compatible with cartridges of any weight.

The Unity arm also features silver internal wire for low resistance and improved signal flow. It terminates in a 5-pin DIN allowing the use of Clearaudio or other brand tonearm cables.

Finally, owners of  Clearaudio’s Universal 9-inch or 12-inch tonearm can get a full trade-in allowance against this new model.
