Clearaudio Releases Balance Reference Phono Preamp

The German High End analog audio experts at Clearaudio have introduced a new reference grade phono preamplifier. The preamp provides a completely independent pair of amplifiers with balanced and unbalanced inputs supporting moving coil (MC) and moving magnet (MM) cartridges and a single pair of unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR outputs. A separate power supply helps to ensure low noise and interference.

The independent dual stereo inputs allow easy switching between cartridges in sophisticated multi-arm or multi-turntable setups. Cartridge loading and gain etc. being manually and independently selected for each stereo pair of inputs via the DIP switches on the amplifiers bottom panel. Each stereo pairs mono switch and subsonic filter can also be found there.

Control is available via the front panel or included IR remote for easy operation from your favourite listening position. It provides volume/mute for the two separate front panel headphone outputs, input A/B selection and standby/on. Inserting headphones will automatically mute the main rear panel stereo outputs. The separate power supply is a dual mono design providing two independent supplies one for each stereo phono amplifier, helping ensure minimum crosstalk and interference. Also a small preset is accessible through the bottom panel that adjusts the power supplies LED brightness.
