This new tonearm from German analog specialist Clearaudio is said to fill the gap between the the well-established Satisfy and Tracer models representing the “perfect symbiosis” of the two tonearms.

Gaining improvement by combining the best elements of both tonearms the Profiler fills the gap between the smaller Satisfy and the larger Tracer tonearms, having a smooth-running sapphire horizontal bearing, while vertical movement is realized via ball bearings.

The arm tube is manufactured from a light weight, high-quality aluminum alloy and is steadied via damping points. The resonance protection dome is also supposed to provide stability. According to the manufacturer, the medium-weight arm fits Clearaudio’s MM and MC cartridges, as well as most third-party cartridges, working with models weighing between 3.7 and 17 grams.

Available in black or silver it is primarily aimed at partnering with their Performance range of turntables but is just as at home with any other model or brand.
