If you are having a cabling path problem to your subs and/or satellite speakers then REL maybe able to help.
REL have recently updated their AirShip wireless adapter to AirShip II. This new wireless transmitter and receiver combination is designed for the No. 31, No. 32, 212/SX, Carbon Special, S/812 and S/510 subwoofers and is compatible with the HT1510 subwoofer.
The improved AirShip II wireless adapter has maintained all the same input and output connectivity as the earlier AirShip, to include; stereo RCA, Speakon and XLR/RCA LFE inputs on the transmitter and RCA Hi/Lo and RCA 0.1LFE outputs on the receiver.
This updated design takes advantage of a new Texas Instrument DAC/ADC design along with their “extremely fast, natural-sounding PerfectFilter™” circuits. Noise in the system is said by REL to be 12dB lower than that found in the original AirShip.
The Airship II receiver can easily be bolted to the rear of many of REL’s subwoofers including; No. 31, No. 32, 212/SX, Carbon Special, S/812 and S/510 rear panels. Making sub relocation in order to optimize their room position(s) much easier. If required for other models the receiver maybe removed from the mounting bracket.
Airship II permits simultaneous use of their latest 5.8 GHz RF connection for both the high or low level signal connection and the 0.1/LFE channel for distances up to about 30 feet. Both channels are totally uncompressed and independent of each other.
Detailed technical specifications regarding the new DAC/ADC models, bit depth, sample frequency, distortion, signal to noise ratio, frequency response and link delay etc. are a bit “thin on the ground”.
Supplied accessories include:
- Two 5VDC power adapters
- One 3 meter high level cable
- One 2 meter dual RCA cable
MSRP: $299.00
