Pro-Ject Announces Stereo Box DS3 Integrated Amplifier

The Stereo Box DS3 is Pro-Ject’s latest take on a classic stereo amplifier solution. Their basic configuration has been updated with the addition of; 2×150 watts of Class D power into 4ohms, Bluetooth V5.0 and an IR remote.
The Stereo Box DS3 supports the following connectivity:
- Inputs (stereo):
- 1x unbalanced RCA phono (MM or MC)
- 3x unbalanced RCA line (CD player, tuner, etc.)
- 1x Bluetooth 5.0 AptX HD
- Outputs (unbalanced stereo RCA):
- 1x Fixed line level
- 1x Variable line level
The 3.5mm 12VDC trigger input allows other hardware to power the DS3 up while the 12VDC trigger output allows the DS3 to power up another device with a single button.
The powerful 150 watt amplifier section is designed as a dual mono configuration delivering up to 150 watts per channel into 4ohms. Making it powerful enough to handle some of the most demanding speakers and supports; 4mm banana plugs, spades connectors or naked wire connectivity. For that late night listening, the front panel headphone jack provides almost 500mW into 32 ohms, again sufficient power for most pairs of headphones.
The variable RCA outputs allows you to include a subwoofer or another power amplifier in your setup. Use the fixed output to distribute the audio signal to another device unaffected by the volume control, to feed another audio device like a recorder. With the supplied IR remote control, you are able to change the volume with the motor driven analog potentiometer, mute and switch inputs.
Finally this new design is all wrapped up in a quality rigid aluminum case to help exclude interference and is available in a black or silver finish. It may be customized with magnetic wood side panels available in Walnut, Rosenut, and Eucalyptus to match your interior.
