Orchard Audio Announces The Starkrimson HT Ultra Series

Orchard Audio has announced their entry into the home-theatre and cinema market with the new Orchard Audio Starkrimson HT Ultra Series. This multichannel amplifier range will be available in three, four and five channel configurations, bringing Orchard Audio’s gallium-nitride (GaN) amplification technology and modular power-delivery architecture to home cinema systems. This new series is available to preorder now, with early deliveries expected in December 2026 or January 2027. Pricing is $3,199.95 to $6,399.95 depending upon the number of channels and power supply configuration desired.
The new amplifiers are based on Orchard Audio’s Stereo Ultra and Mono Ultra Premium amplifiers that use use GaN-based Class-D technology, with Orchard Audio highlighting low distortion, efficiency and fast operation. Orchard’s Ultra modules operate at around 800KHz, with the company claiming that the higher switching frequency improves efficiency while allowing simpler output filtering and reducing phase shift through the audible range.
Each model uses a 1,200W custom power supply, while selected configurations can also be fitted with additional 1200W power supplies and capacitor boards each providing 43,600uF of additional capacitance. According to Orchard Audio, these options are intended to support bass performance and transient response when used with demanding loudspeakers, supporting 2-ohm loads and remaining stable into 1 ohm. There are seven optional configurations depending upon your requirements. These include the number of desired channels, the number of custom 1,200 watt power supplies and number of 43,600uF capacitor boards.
