Cyrus Classic Phono Phonostage – Quick Look

Cyrus Audio has just announced an upgrade to its very popular original Cyrus Phono Signature that was released back in 2016, the Cyrus Classic Phono.
This latest design supports up to four turntables that may be permanently connected, allowing the listener to easily switch between them. Each input may be adjusted for; MM or MC, gain, resistance and capacitance, with the settings conveniently saved to memory for future reference.
Stereo output level meters show the real time signal levels allowing clear and accurate gain adjustments to optimize the headroom available from your system for each cartridge.
The passive RIAA filtering uses very high performance metallized polyester capacitors for ultimate accuracy and performance. The baseplate has been upgraded in order to improved mechanical isolation and greater immunity to external electrical noise, while careful attention to circuit layout and component placement ensures a lower noise floor.
Helping reduce noise and interference still further the Classic Phono also includes a port for the PSX-R2 power supply. Power from the PSX-R2 is routed internally to provide a more stable, low-noise power supply.
Rear panel connectivity includes; four unbalanced RCA inputs with ground lugs, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs plus MC-BUS I/O to create a unified control system with other CYRUS MC-BUS enabled devices.
Finally control is available using the front panel buttons in conjunction with the control knob and display or at your seated position with the supplied IR remote that duplicates many of the front panels functions.
