Audyssey MultEQ-X for Denon and Marantz AVRs

Sound United (Denon & Marantz) have announced their support for a new, advanced, Audyssey PC software application. The new software, MultEQ-X, gives users additional and expanded control and flexibility to calibrate existing and new home AVR’s, together with early access to new Audyssey MultEQ features and functionality. An interesting desktop-based app for those who enjoy tweaking their speakers EQ that will display more useful information about their room acoustics.

Key features include:

  • Measurement with detailed frequency responses for individual channels for easy room tuning
  • Subwoofer-level adjustment with slow and super-slow time rates
  • Advanced target curve designer, with new “Cutoff Mode” control, as well as complete control over target sound for every channel and every preset
  • Manual override of all automatically detected parameters
  • Improved frequency response resolution for individual channels

Below are a couple of sample images from the new application. For more visit the Microsoft store.

The software will initially be supported by all Denon and Marantz AVR’s that are currently compatible with the existing MultEQ Editor mobile app. It is now available as an in-app purchase and includes a non-transferable license that entitles a single user to calibrate one specific AVR for the lifetime of that product. NOTE: All features may not be available across every product.

Pricing:

  • USA $199.99
  • UK £151.00 (approx.)

This new software is not intended as as a replacement for the current mobile application. MultEQ-X is aimed at professionals and enthusiasts who may want to modify and examine in further detail their acoustic adjustments and rooms performance on a larger screen. The new software will initially require a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 10/11 (version 1809, build 17763 or later). Wider support is planned for the future.

No mention of this new application on the Sound United or Audyssey web sites yet!
