StormAudio is part of Immersive Audio Technology, a French company that designs and manufactures Immersive Sound Processors and Power Amplifiers dedicated to High-End Home Theaters around the globe. They have just announced the ISR Fusion 20, offering 20 channels of processing with 16 channels of amplification.

This latest model is built upon their ISP Elite MK3 platform, bringing together 20 channels of processing and 16 channels of the latest Class D Edge amplification technology developed by Danish-based ICE Power. Each channel claiming extremely low noise and distortion levels with 150W (8ohm) per channel and up to 500W (8ohm) in bridged mode.

We are told that the Fusion 20 has sufficient DSP power to decode all the current immersive formats up to 11.1.8 (Auro-3D, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and IMAX Enhanced) and enable post-processing to optimize any speaker to any room straight out of the box. Audio support further extends to all legacy codecs up to 192 KHz and it is Roon Ready.

With its full suite of DIRAC modules including; Dirac Live with Room Correction, Bass Control and Active Room Treatment and supporting up to 20 PEQs per channel, it can tackle the most difficult of room acoustics. Plus it supports four-way active crossovers that can accommodate multiple subwoofers. There is even a popular Room Acoustic Wizard (REW) plugin.

With its fixed architecture the Fusion 20 still maintains the ability to have its HDMI boards upgraded as required. With the current boards supporting 7 inputs and 2 outputs with ARC/eARC, HDMI2.1a/HDCP2.3 up to 8K/4K120 with HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision.
