According to Orchard Audio, the PecanPi®+ Streamer Premium is; “Precision-engineered to deliver an exquisite audio experience, the PecanPi+ Streamer Premium transforms your listening space into a sonic haven.” Its design is based upon the Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) flagship AK4499EXEQ DAC combined with the AK4191EQ DAC, both being driven by a Crystek CCHD-575 oscillator having an ultra-low clock jitter of 82fSec. The fully balanced differential output stage uses OPA1612s op-amps, low-noise Panasonic resistors, and proprietary filtering topology. While the headphone outputs use dual or quad paralleled OPA1622s op amps. Powering this sonic masterpiece are three, separate, ultra low noise power supplies that use an; LT3045 (0.8uV noise) for positive op-amp power supply, an LT3090 (18uV noise) for negative op-amp power supply and a LT3042 (0.8uV noise) for DAC chips.

With an SNR of 133dB (A-weighted), a THD+N of -116dB or 0.00016% and a frequency response of 0(DC)Hz to 88KHz, the design supports PCM and DSD with sampling and bit rates of up to 384KHz/32bit.

Setup and control is available using the front panel 5″ touchscreen and volume control with rear panel connectivity supporting; 1xstereo balanced XLR and 1xunbalanced RCA outputs, 1xSPIDF coaxial input, 4xUSB and 1xRJ45 Ethernet.

The DAC maybe purchased with one of two pre-installed software options; Volumio or Roon End-Point (Ropieee).

Features At A Glance:

  • Fully balanced (XLR) and Single Ended (RCA) outputs
  • Superbly low noise and distortion
  • 5″ Touchscreen
  • Ultra-low jitter
  • Built-in headphone amplifier (1/4″ (6.35mm) TRS jack on front panel)
  • High-quality hardware volume control (streamer can be plugged directly into an amplifier)
  • Size: 12.2″ (31cm) x 7.5″ (19cm) x 3.7″ (9.4cm)

      Hi Leo,
Thank you for your comment. The issue is with my site software editor in that using symbols like “+” in titles often causes issues, hence its omission.
I did however use the correct terminology in the body of the post.
      Regards
