The MOON product range is manufactured by Canadian based Simaudio. Sima Electronics was founded in 1980 later launching the MOON range as its reference-grade series of audio products.

This new version of its popular and award winning 250i stereo integrated amplifier features; upgraded circuit design including lower operating temperatures for extended life, a new shield for the power supply, the inclusion of a MM phono preamplifier and next generation semiconductors together with precision-matched proprietary MOON Bipolar output transistors said to provide; “improved bass response and accurate sonic reproduction”.

The 250i v2 offers one MM phono input and five analogue inputs, including a convenient front panel 1/8-inch analog connection. Outputs include; a pair of speaker binding posts, stereo RCA pre-out and a front panel 1/4-inch headphone output. Control is provided via the RS232 port, IR in/out and SimLink.  Plenty of power is available from its stereo class A/B amplifiers that provides 50 watts/channel into 8 ohms and 100 watts/channel into 4 ohms.

These latest upgrades are all housed in the meticulously built classic MOON 250i rigid chassis that is supported by MOON’s 10-year warranty. The 250i v2 offers simple-to-operate and satisfyingly front panel tactile controls plus an IR remote (CRM-3) and is avilable in either a black or two-tone black/silver finish.
