The Sourcepoint V10 master edition is the latest flagship passive loudspeaker from MoFi Electronics designed by Andrew Jones. This three-way tower loudspeaker sports twin, 10-inch (254mm) bass drivers with dual, rear‑firing, 10-inch passive radiators, and a custom 10-inch concentric drive unit that supports midrange and treble. Available in both Walnut and Black Ash finishes with optional black or grey magnetic grills.
The closed cabinet features the recognisable SourcePoint platform multi‑faceted baffle. This design uses angled planes around each driver to control edge diffraction and unwanted reflections. Internally the isolated chambers for each woofer and passive radiator help to minimise cabinet resonance. The pair of 10″ passive radiators reinforcing low frequencies down to 27 Hz, without adding distortion or turbulence.
The precision‑built, user‑tunable crossover network is engineered with polypropylene film capacitors, metalized‑film resistors, and air‑core inductors for ultra‑low distortion and is said to produce “precise phase alignment” ensuring “seamless handoff between woofers, midrange, and tweeter” employing crossover frequencies of; 130 Hz and 1.4 kHz. A three position rear panel toggle switch lets you select the treble level to suit your room’s acoustics and listening preferences, with dual pairs of speaker binding posts supporting bi-amping.
This latest flagship design has a sensitivity of 91dB, a frequency response of 27 Hz – 30 kHz and weigh-in at 160lbs ( 72.6Kg) each.
