MoFi Electronics Releases SourcePoint 888 Speaker

Mofi Electronics has announced the SourcePoint 888 loudspeaker. A new floor-standing model from Andrew Jones that extends the SourcePoint 8 standmount design with two additional 8-inch bass drivers. The SourcePoint 888 is a 3-way design incorporating two newly developed 8-inch paper cone woofers alongside the refined concentric driver configuration.
The rear connector panel supports two pairs of binding posts that allow for both bi-wire and bi-amp connectivity.
This vented design adds two additional bass drivers to support frequencies below 130Hz, with the 8″ dual concentric cone supporting mid-range frequencies and its 1.25inch soft dome tweeter crossing over at 1.6KHz. MoFi stating that the 888 frequency response is 32Hz to 30KHz.
Cabinet construction employs thick MDF panels that utilize internal bracing with each driver operating in optimally sized individual isolated chambers.
The final 3-way floor-standing design supports a sensitivity of 87dB/2.83V/1m with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms. It is available in a satin finish in either Walnut, Black Ash or White Ash real wood veneer finishes.
