LUMIN New L2 Music Server & Switch – First Look

LUMIN Audio continues to expand their streaming support building on their recent releases of their T3, U2 & U2 Mini with their latest L2 Music server and integrated audiophile quality switch. This new music library supports dual drives with storage options form zero to 8TB, all combined within a thick, CNC single aluminum enclosure.

LUMIN claims; “effortless operation of LUMIN L2 belies its advanced features and unrivalled flexibility”. With zero configuration required, you can easily add music to the L2 via USB or over the network, plus with LUMIN’s bespoke server software, tailored for LUMIN owners, the pairing guarantees rock-solid stability, rich tag support and compatibility with high-resolution PCM/DSD formats.

Flexible connectivity options are offered with; a 4-Port Audiophile-Grade Network Switch having two optical fiber SFP ports and two RJ45 copper ports that all support streamlining your network. With its shielded low-noise power supply, thick and rigid CNC aluminum chassis and spacious layout all helping to reduce noise levels and provide pristine data to your network player.

The L2 is available in three configurations; without drives, with 4TB, or with 8TB capacity. It is also UPnP (Openhome) compatible, supports USB 3.0 Micro type B for computer connection, offers SMB support for network transfers and supports Gigabit Ethernet data transmission.

Finally the L2 is available in either silver or black anodized finfishes.
