Linn has unveiled its fifth generation Majik DSM all-in-one network music player with pre-amplifier, DAC and Class D stereo power amplifier. With its comprehensive array of inputs and outputs, hook it up any turntable (MM or MC) or other analogue source; connect your TV, gaming consoles and set-top boxes over high-quality eARC; connect your headphones, a subwoofer, or a computer-hosted music library then add your favorite pair of speakers. Available in a black satin finish.

The Majik DSM DAC features Linn’s proprietary precision clocking and upsampling technology that supports up to 24-bit/384KHz and drives the 100wpc Class D amplifiers. Room equalization comes as standard with Linn’s unique room correction software – Space Optimization.

Linn develops software in-house, ensuring long-term support and regular updates. Users can stream music from high-resolution services such as TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify Connect, Deezer, AirPlay 2, Roon Ready, airable, TuneIn and Calm Radio.

The design is enclosed in a robust outer sleeve that is formed from a single piece of 2mm-thick aluminum, with the steel chassis supported by three solid-steel feet with rubber damping, all helping to reduce vibration. The cast acrylic facia contains a monochrome display and a top surface mounted cut-glass rotary control dial provides an intuitive way to adjust volume, switch inputs, and navigate tracks. Alternative control is available using Linn’s control app, available on smartphones, tablets, and computers.

Rear panel connectivity includes; 1 x MM and MC phono inputs, 2 x RCA line-level inputs, 1 x coaxial SPDIF and optical TOSLINK digital inputs, 1 x USB and 1 x HDMI eARC. Outputs include; 1 x coaxial SPDIF, 2 x RCA sub-out, 1 x stereo RCA line out and two pairs of speaker binding posts. Other connectivity includes; 1 x RJ45 Ethernet and 1 x RJ45 EXAKT Link. Front panel connectivity includes one 1/4″ headphone socket.
