Korf Announces TA-SF11R Tonearm – First Look

Austrian audio company Korf, specialists in the design of tonearms, have just released their TA-SF11R, an 11″ transcription tonearm. Having a pivot to spindle distance of 265mm, allows its placement to comfortably fit transcription turntables from the Garrard 301 to the Technics SP10R.
The arm tube is made from stainless steel and is supported using a horizontal flexure pivot together with ceramic hybrid rolling bearings for the vertical axis. Cabling includes; pure silver Litz headshell wiring and 6N OFC Litz tonearm cabling terminated by a 5 pin MDIN, both using gold plated connectors.
Its unique detachable HS-A02 ceramic headshell uses a custom designed Ortofon/SME/JIS style quick release connector.
Supporting a wide range of cartridge weights, the TA-SF11R tonearm comes with a damped tonearm lift, and is fully adjustable including; VTA, azimuth and magnetic bias.
The TA-SF11R comes with a choice of JIS/Linn or SME mount (or both). The purchase also includes; 3 months of free email support, a 1 year warranty and a 3 month return period.
