Kestrel Audio KT-100 Turntable – Quick Look

Kestrel Audio is a newly formed British manufacturer of high fidelity audio products. Currently they manufacture a range of 3 models of turntables that were launched in March 2023. The KT-100 being the stepping stone between the KT-50 entry model and KT-200 higher end model.

The KT-100 is said to; “strike a perfect balance between affordability and performance, making it an ideal choice for discerning audiophiles seeking an upgrade from their entry-level setup.” This two speed belt drive turntable uses an acetal sub platter with a 10mm opal acrylic platter, all mounted using a 12mm brass bearing with a steel thrust ball. It features electronic speed change between 33 1/3 and 45, uses a 9.5 inch uni-pivot carbon fiber tonearm (TALK A5) and comes with a clear Z-type dust cover. Unbalanced RCA phono connectivity together with speed change may be found on the rear panel. No cartridge is included.

Its sleek, smaller format plinth, comes in 9 standard finishes; Black, White, Oak, Walnut, Red, Navy Blue, Olive Green, Slate Grey and Saffron Yellow.

Options include; a built-in moving magnet (MM) cartridge RIAA phono amplifier module and a KISO isolation platform in matching finishes.
