The renowned high-end Swiss audio equipment manufacturer, Goldmund, has just released its flagship Goldmund Telos 8800 Mono Power Amplifier. At approximately $366,000 EACH and claiming to be one of the most powerful Class AB amplifier in the world, it represents a huge investment for audiophiles with deep pockets and for those of you seeking a possible pinnacle of sonic excellence.
Boasting an impressive 1400Wrms of power output with only 1% total harmonic distortion (THD) at 8 ohms, this amplifier should ensure audiophiles and music enthusiasts experience an impressive level of sonic perfection.
With its all analog design, the Telos 8800 features four meticulously engineered separate electronic boards to maximize system stability. Plus the amplifier is equipped with Goldmund’s advanced MKP silver-metallized polypropylene film cap capacitors, ensuring a stable power supply for the MOSFET output stage that supports loads as low as 1 Ω.
Class AB analog amplifiers this powerful produce considerable heat. In order to dissipate this heat the Telos 8800 uses side panels designed as the primary heat sinks plus a secondary heatsink, all ensuring enhanced cooling efficiency, longevity and thermal stability. Additional amplifier and speaker protection is provided with short-circuit protection that rapidly shuts the amplifier down if a fault is detected.
Connectivity losses to/from the Telos 8800 are minimized by the use of all-gold metal terminals and screws thereby ensuring optimum signal transmission.
This power house of an amplifier is available now in both black and silver-gray.

OMG! At USD $366,000 per unit, how many are they planning to sell?
Anecdotally that is almost USD $ 1400 per/KG (if sold by weight) 🙂
Hi Tomasz,
Clearly only for those millionaire/billionaires out there. A pair would cost the same as my home….ridiculous!
There isn’t any amplifier out there with performance that is worth that amount of money. Not too mention that two of them weigh over half an imperial ton! How they get that much weight into the hollow design is staggering.
Still I felt the need to post these beasts for readers like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk 🙂.
Thanks for popping by and the comment.
