Swiss super high-end HiFi brand Goldmund has launched a new range of wireless loudspeakers, the; Theia, Rhea and Asteria, all of which are said to follow in the footsteps of their flagship Gaia speaker. These new models are manufactured from silver-grey aluminum alloy and feature matching grilles. Micro-blasted aluminum is used for the vertical and edge enclosure panels, offering an elegant contrast to the brushed aluminum horizontally aligned internal panels. These statement models coming with pricing that continues to match their lofty standards.
The trio of speakers are all designed with Goldmund’s proprietary Proteus LS technology, are equipped with Leonardo Time Correction technology that is implemented using a local Digital Processing System (DSP), are powered by integrated Telos amplifiers and built using Goldmund’s Mechanical Grounding technology.
All models have options for both wired and wireless connections, including a USB dongle for effortless integration with computers. Crossover between the drivers is digital using their latest version of their Alize digital to analog converter and DSP processing that samples at 24-bit/96kHz.
The Asteria is the smallest of the three and provides a claimed frequency response of 34.5 Hz to 25 kHz (-6dB). Its drivers consist of; 1 x soft dome tweeter, 1 x 7” mid and 1 x 9” woofer which are driven by three integrated Telos power amplifiers, 2 x 175 W for tweeter and medium and 1 x 250 W for the woofer.
Next up is the Rhea which drops the lower frequency response to 26.5 Hz. Drivers include; 1 x soft dome tweeter, 1 x 7” mid, and 1 x 12” woofer which are driven by three integrated Telos power amplifiers, 2 x 175 W for tweeter and medium and 1 x 300 W for the woofer.
Topping out this range and coming in just below their Gaia flagship speaker is the Theia. With a claimed response of 21 Hz (-6 dB) > 25 kHz, its uses; 1 x soft dome tweeter, 1 x 4” high mid, 1 x 6” low mid and 1 x 12” woofer. Telos power amplifiers again drive these four units using; 3 x 175 W for tweeter and mids and 1 x 350 W for the woofer.
Finally, the loudspeakers are available in a silver grey enclosure and grills as standard with bespoke options of black enclosure and grills, silver grey enclosure and black grills or black enclosure and grey grills.
