Eversolo Launches T8 Streaming Transport – Quick Look

Eversolo have released their new T8 Professional-grade Streaming Transport. This latest design features fully isolated outputs, their proprietary software and a CNC-machined chassis that provides, electromagnetic screening, strength and visual elegance. The front panel that contains the 6″ touchscreen together with its virtual buttons is also physically isolated from the internal circuitry helping to further reduce noise.
Internal hardware supports; Wi-Fi 6, a high-performance quad-core ARM processor, and 4GB DDR RAM with 64GB eMMC storage, with Dual SSD slots providing up to 16TB of storage (8TB × 2), enabling gapless playback of large, high-resolution audio files. Clock accuracy and jitter is improved with the use of two ultra-high precision femtosecond clocks to deliver well-defined imaging.
Powering the electronics is a custom super-silent linear power supply that uses a 4N oxygen-free copper toroidal transformer with Teflon-insulated primary and secondary, together with precision regulation and high grade filtering all helping to reduce noise to as low as 30μV.
The T8 provides access to numerous streaming services that include; TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer, TuneIn Radio, and more. It also supports TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Roon Ready, enabling direct playback from your preferred device for a smooth music experience. Supported audio file formats include; DSD, PCM, FLAC, APE, and WAV, supporting up to DSD512 and PCM 768KHz/32Bit. With the inclusion of a IIS output connection the T8 can also be combined with an external DAC. This output is isolated from the main block design to reduce noise and ground loops, and has eight modes of configuration, allowing true plug-and-play operation. This level of electrical isolation is also applied to DAC’s connected to the USB output, again ensuring no ground loops and noise free digital data.
Each T8 comes with an included dual-mode Bluetooth/IR remote, ensuring stable operation for both line-of-sight and obstructed path conditions. Plus Eversolo Control allows the T8 be easily operated from Android/iPhone, iPad, or M-series MacBooks. The interactive interface is intuitive and easy to use, supporting real-time screen interaction, so any action performed on the T8 is instantly reflected on these devices.
The rooms acoustics are not forgotten with the inclusion of Eversolo’s evotune system, EM-01 microphone or smartphone microphone. Using advanced FIR algorithms, evotune analyzes room acoustics and optimizes system output. For those wanting to adjust the sound themselves, a 10-band PEQ module, FIR filter import, and loudness adjustment are provided, allowing users to fine-tune the audio.
Connectivity is flexible and includes; 1x AES/EBU XLR, 1 x optical, 1 x RCA coaxial, 1 x HDMI I2S, 1 x USB Audio, 2 x USB3.0, 1 x RJ45 Ethernet and 1 x SFP module. Plus a dual slot in the base to support 2x8TB SSD.
