Eversolo Announces DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 2 Streamer

Eversolo have now released the Master Edition of their recently released DMP-A6 Gen 2 music streamer. This audiophile edition introduces a suite of upgrades including; two ultra-low phase noise femtosecond audio clocks to minimize jitter, high-end operational amplifiers and super low-noise analog power supply, all wrapped up in a CNC-machined aluminum case. Available only in a silver finish.

Powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor, with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, the DMP-A6 Gen 2 Master effortlessly handles large files and high-resolution audio streams. It is Roon Ready, supports TIDAL and various file formats to include; DSD, MQA, FLAC, APE, and WAV. It offers an extensive selection of network music services including; TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, Amazon Music, IDAGIO, Calm Radio, Internet Radio, TuneIn, Radio Paradise, Deezer, SoundCloud, Presto Music, Apple Music, HiRes Audio and numerous other mainstream streaming services.

The DMP-A6 Gen 2 chassis is manufactured from aerospace-grade aluminum using a seamless CNC process. The metal body improves both durability and effectively shields external interference. Its front panel contains a 6-inch high-definition color touchscreen providing a full range of crystal clear playback, user setup and menu information. Visually, the DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 2 takes a step forward with a redesigned volume knob featuring an RGB 10 color dynamic surrounding halo. The chassis is only available in a silver finish.

Internally the independent digital, analog and power supplies are created by a low-noise (40uV) toroidal linear power supply. These analog supplies, like its sibling, feeding dual ESS ES9038Q2M high-fidelity DAC chips to independently handle the left and right channel ensuring excellent separation. These DAC’s are clocked using a pair of Accusilicon, ultra-low jitter, femtosecond clocks together with optimized algorithms to reduce clock jitter and noise to extremely low levels. The DACs feed independent and fully balanced filter and output circuits that use TI OPA1612 operational amplifiers, which according to Eversolo, ensures lossless signal amplification and transmission. With noise levels as low as 1.1nV/√Hz and a distortion rate of just 0.000015% at 1kHz, the DMP-A6 Master Edition can provide audiophile grade dynamic ranges and sound integrity. The DMP-A6 Gen 2 Master also uses the XMOS XU316 audio interface, that supports DSD512 Native and PCM 768kHz@32Bit decoding.

Other audio features include; Eversolo’s proprietary EOS audio engine, which overrides SRC limitations, it utilizes their EVC output engine, which uses a unique volume adjustment algorithm to accurately eliminate errors at various gain levels. It supports HDMI multi-channel output, including DSD Native and up to 5.1 channels of output. Plus the DMP-A6 Gen2 includes Wake-on-LAN (WOL) functionality, which allows you to wake up the device through the app without manual operation, a 10 band pro-level equalizer and a range of VU meter and audio spectrum front panel graphics. Internal storage expansion is available using the M.2 NVMe SSD storage slot accessed through the players bottom panel that supports up to 4TB SSD.

Rear panel analog connectivity includes; 1 x stereo unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR outputs, with digital connectivity supported by; 1 x optical/coaxial SPDIF input and output, 1 x USB-B, 1 x HDMI with ARC input/output, 2 x USB3.0, 1 x RJ45 network, 1 x SD card slot, 1 x SSD connection that supports the optional M.2 SSD in its undercarriage, plus 1 x 3.5mm 12VDC trigger output.
