Eversolo Announces DMP-A6 Gen 2 All-In-One Streamer

Eversolo have announced its 2nd generation DMP-A6 all-in-one music streamer that features numerous upgrades over its predecessor and now includes a fully balanced analog architecture minimizing distortion and noise. According to Eversolo the newly upgraded DMP-A6 Gen 2 is “a HiFi streamer that fuses superb sound quality with advanced technologies. It’s more than just a music device; it’s your new connection to the world of sound.” Primary upgrades over its DMP-A6 predecessor include:

• Enhanced dual ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chips with improved master-level tuning for even greater sound precision
• HDMI ARC support for seamless integration with home theatre systems
• HDMI multi-channel support, including DSD Native and up to 5.1-channel output, catering to advanced audio setups
• Wake-on-LAN (WOL) functionality for remote access and control
• Proprietary EOS audio engine, further optimizing audio quality
• Upgraded ultra-low-noise (40µV) linear power supply providing a purer and more stable power source for the audio circuits

Powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor, with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, the DMP-A6 Gen 2 effortlessly handles large files and high-resolution audio streams. It is Roon Ready, supports TIDAL and various file formats to include; DSD, MQA, FLAC, APE, and WAV.  It offers and extensive selection of network music services including; Eversolo’s customized versions of TIDAL, Qobuz, Apple Music, Deezer, TuneIn, Amazon Music, Calm, Presto Music, Radio Paradise, HiRes Audio and numerous other mainstream streaming services.

The DMP-A6 Gen 2 chassis is manufactured from aerospace-grade aluminum using a seamless CNC process. The metal body improves both durability and effectively shields external interference. Its front panel contains a 6-inch high-definition color touchscreen providing a full range of crystal clear playback, user setup and menu information. The chassis is only available in a matt black finish.

Internally the independent digital, analog and power supplies are created by a low-noise (40uV) toroidal linear power supply. These analog supplies driving two ESS ES9038Q2M high-fidelity DAC’s that are independently deployed on the left and right-hand channels, providing high dynamic range and subtle detail resolution. It features a low-noise and low distortion, fully balanced analog circuit architecture from the DAC’s output to the XLR connectors, with further noise reduction provided by the dual low-jitter, high-precision clock oscillators. The DMP-A6 Gen 2 also uses the XMOS XU316 audio interface, with a significantly upgraded XMOS chip that supports DSD512 Native and PCM 768kHz@32Bit decoding.

Other audio features include; Eversolo’s proprietary EOS audio engine, which overrides SRC limitations, it utilizes their EVC output engine, which uses a unique volume adjustment algorithm to accurately eliminate errors at various gain levels. It supports HDMI multi-channel output, including DSD Native and up to 5.1 channels of output. Plus the DMP-A6 Gen2 includes Wake-on-LAN (WOL) functionality, which allows you to wake up the device through the app without manual operation, a 10 band equalizer and a range of VU meter front panel graphics. With internal M.2 NVMe SSD storage expansion available through an SSD slot on the bottom that supports up to 4TB SSD.
