AVR-S660H 5.1 Channel AVR

The Denon AVR-S660H is a  5.1 channel AV receiver that delivers five channels of 75W per channel amplifications (8 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, THD: 0.08%, 2ch. driven). It features Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio decoding for high-resolution and lossless soundtrack playback. While it does support 8K it does not support any immersive formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and is not upgradeable.

The Denon AVR-S760H is a 7.1 channel AVR and has all the same features of the AVR-S660H with the addition of 3D immersive audio formats Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. It comes with seven channels of discrete amplification rated 75W per channel (8 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, THD: 0.08%, 2ch driven). With the AVR-S760H, you can build a  5.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound system by installing height or top speakers. The AVR-S750H also comes with DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization technologies so if you don’t have or can’t install height or top speakers you can still have the excitement of immersive 3D audio in rooms where the placement of additional loudspeakers is impractical.

AVR-X1700H 7.1 Channel AVR

The Denon AVR-X1700H is also a 7.1 channel AVR delivering seven channels of amplification at 80W per channel (8 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, THD: 0.08%, 2ch driven). Like the AVR-S760H, the Denon AVR-X1700H offers immersive 3D audio and can be configured to drive a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos or DTS:X system using height speakers. Having support for the latest surround sound formats, including Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology and DTS Virtual:X, 7.1, 5.1 or 2.1 speaker arrangements maybe configured with the aim of creating the 3D audio experience when no height speakers are present. Other features include additional zone support and Bi-Amp drive.
