Bowers & Wilkins have unveiled the 707 Prestige Edition standmount speakers, an upgraded version of its entry-level 700 Series standmount loudspeaker that according to B&W; “adds carefully optimised technology taken from our award-winning 705 S3 Signature” and includes many of the same technologies found in the 800 Series Diamond loudspeaker range.

 This Prestige edition comes with the Santos Gloss finish, 12 layers of paint and lacquer inspired by the 805 D3 Prestige Edition’s rosewood aesthetic, and a rear plate confirming its authenticity.

The 707 Prestige Edition’s is still a 2-way vented-box design with flared rear port, that includes several key B&W technologies; such as the 25mm Carbon Dome tweeter, 130mm Continuum cone mid-bass drive unit and curved front baffle. In order to provide improved HF performance, the 707 Prestige Edition adds the carefully optimised high-frequency tweeter grille mesh and upgraded, low-loss speaker terminals used in the multi-award-winning 705 S3 Signature.

Despite their category being defined as a bookshelf speaker this models is just as at home sitting on the FS-700 S3 floorstands that are available in either black or silver finishes.
