Avid HiFi of the UK have announced the latest addition to their Integrated Amplifier range, the ACCENT. This latest stereo design features; a remote, four line inputs, a Pellar phonostage and supports 70 watts into 8Ω.
Appealing to vinyl enthusiasts it’s Pellar Phonostage is compatible with most MM/MC cartridge types, having adjustable gain and cartridge loading. The main signal path uses polypropylene capacitors with signal levels being adjusted by an ALPS volume control. There is also a high quality headphone amplifier for those late night private listening sessions.
Its 70 watts is backed up by a large 750VA mains transformer and 88,000uF of electrical storage capacity ensuring plenty of reserve for those high level dynamics. Rear panel analog connectivity includes; four unbalanced line-level stereo RCA inputs, one RCA Phono input, one RCA input for custom phono loading and two pairs of speaker binding posts. There are no digital inputs or outputs.
This new offering is all wrapped up in a high-quality heavy gauge steel case, with a solid aluminum front panel that includes the; volume control, input selection, mono/stereo selection, mute and headphone socket. Additional control is available using the small included IR remote.
