Early in 2025 the company founder, Wang, stepped down from his leadership role. Then in mid-September 2025 AURALiC’s community forum suddenly went black for no apparent reason. It would appear now, that the rumors are true and AURALiC have ceased trading. Their website shows zero availability of product and is bannered with “Due to US government tariff policy, we have temporarily suspended all shipment to US address till future notice.”

Earlier this year, AURALiC suspended all shipments to US addresses, giving “US government tariff policy” as the official reason. This marketing change clearly had a considerable financial impact on an important segment of their global high-end audio market, resulting in an 80% decline in overall sales. Clearly this loss of revenue, the increasing competition from less expensive streaming products and challenging economic conditions worldwide have all aided in their demise.

Audio and video companies have been shutting down at an alarming rate over the last couple of years indicating the broader challenges faced by these specialised equipment manufacturers. The combination of on-going trade tensions, supply chain disruptions, and increased competition from both traditional A/V companies and technology giants managing to reduce industry wide margins.

Lets hope that there is a buyer out their that can throw AURALiC and its IP a lifeline.
