The calibration file is downloaded from within the MultEQ-X application by selecting the option ‘Add New Mic’, and entering the microphone’s serial number. The mic’s calibration file is then downloaded and paired within the users application.
In order to generate more precise measurements and improved calibration, the microphone MUST be used with a paid license for MultEQ-X software which is downloaded from the Microsoft Store and purchased in-app. The microphone and associated calibration file is NOT supported by MultEQ and using this microphone directly with the AVR built-in calibration, or with the mobile MultEQ Editor application will NOT improve the calibration.
Audyssey MultEQ-X is a new stand alone software application that supports home theater AVR’s that have Audyssey’s MultEQ room equalization technology built-in. This new app based approach provides an ongoing upgrade path to the original MultEQ room equalization software giving the user a wider range of room correction tools, measurements and acoustics information, plus the ability to easily add new features as they are developed.
MultEQ-X lets owners of compatible Denon and Marantz AVRs access advanced controls to adjust their acoustic parameters, displaying more detailed information about their room acoustics.
The Audyssey ACM1-X microphone is available on Amazon for an introductory price of $79.99, approx. £61.
Audyssey MultEQ-X may be downloaded from the Microsoft Store and costs $200.00, approx. £151. (single non transferable license for one specified AVR)
