ARCAM have just expanded their Radia Series with the addition of an upscale high-resolution streamer and two new high-power integrated streaming amplifiers. These new models, the ST25 streamer and SA35 and SA45 integrated streaming amps are targeted to ship in the fall of 2024, joining the current; ST5 streamer and A5, A15, and A25 integrated amplifiers.
The ST25 is the company’s flagship standalone music streamer, bringing high-quality streaming to separates-based hi-fi setups. This new high-resolution streaming platform is built on the legacy of the ST60 streamer plus a number of technical refinements. Those refinements include; ESS Technology’s newest Hyperstream IV digital-to-analog converter (DAC) topology, a redesigned linear toroidal power supply to reduce noise, a ground plane that now spans the entire circuit board to effectively screen sensitive audio components from noise, plus an upgraded user interface and app.
The ST25 features a new, bonded 6.5″ high-resolution front panel display to show album artwork and metadata, and connects to Wi-Fi via the Arcam Radia app. It offers an extensive range of playback options to include; Apple Airplay, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon. Control of ARCAM Radia amplifiers is available through a single remote by using its control link connection.
The new SA35 and SA45 are the new successors to Arcam’s current flagship integrated amplifier, the SA30. Both use the same high-resolution streaming platform as the ST25, include a new fifth-generation Class G amplifier section and feature a 6.5 inch (SA35) or 8.8 inch (SA45) color display. The SA35 is rated to deliver 120 watts/channel into 8 ohms or 220 watts/channel into 4 ohms while the SA45 ups the power to 180 watts/channel into 8 ohms or 300 watts a side into 4 ohms.
Analog inputs include a switchable MC/MM phono stage and three pairs of RCA line level inputs. With the SA45 including one pair of balanced XLR inputs. Digital inputs include; 2x Coaxial (RCA), 2x Optical (Toslink) and an HDMI eARC socket for hooking up a compatible TV. Streaming supports up to 32bit/768KHz and includes support for; FLAC, WAV (LPCM), AAC, ALAC, AIFF, DSD (up to 1024), MP3, MP4, OGG and WMA. While the digital inputs support up to 24bit/192KHz.
Two-way aptX Adaptive Bluetooth 5.2 is provided by both models allowing you to stream music directly to the system or from the system to compatible wireless headphones. Dual subwoofer outputs are provided for those users requiring a little more bass, and both come with Dirac Live Room Correction, a mic and remote to help with room acoustics calibration.
Just add speakers and you have a complete hi-fi system.
