Introduction

Known by audiophiles for their excellent technical standards and first rate quality built Canadian audio products, Anthem have released the specifications for a new range of receivers and processors. The MRX 540, 740 and 1140 A/V Receivers; and AVM 70 and 90 A/V Processors will replace Anthems current models. Each model supports their latest version of ARC Genesis Room correction together with full management of many of the latest audio formats.

AVM 70 & 90 A/V Processors

The AVM 70 and AVM 90 are the latest A/V processors from Anthem. The AVM 90 is Anthem’s new flagship A/V Processor with upgraded audio circuitry, four independent subwoofer outputs and 32-bit AKM AK4499EQ DACs with 768kHz sampling capability plus DTS:X Pro decoding. The AVM 70 Processor supports configurations up to 15.2 channels while the AVM 90 up to 15.4  channels. Both come with ARC Genesis Room Correction.

MRX 540, 740, and 1140 A/V Receivers

The MRX 540, 740 and 1140 are the latest AV receivers using the 32bit/768KHz AKM AK4458VN DAC:

MRX 540 – 7.2 processor with five 100 watt (8 ohms) power amplifiers

MRX 740 – 11.2 processor with seven 140 watt (8 ohms) power amplifiers

MRX 1140 – 15.2 processor with eleven 140 watt (8 ohms) power amplifiers

These receivers are very flexible being capable of using unused outputs to support speaker Bi-amping and having additional channels that are capable of being used to drive whole-house systems. Speaker configuration may adjusted to support any configuration of height, width or presence speakers in both Dolby Atmos or DTS:X. The MRX 1140 providing support for DTS:X Pro and all models providing ARC Genesis room correction for all speaker channels.

New User Interfaces for ALL AVM Processors and MRX Receivers

The on screen overlay that is a standard feature in most AV receivers and processors has been replaced with the Anthem Web User Interface.  This interface may be accessed using a cell phone, tablet or laptop and gives access in real time to any function on the fly. Volume, audio mode, levels, speaker delays, renaming and calibration are all fully accessible in real time with access being available from any networked device. Import and export of configuration files is a cinch using the new web interface making remote management simple and convenient for users and installers alike.
