The Japanese high-end audiophile company Accuphase has introduced a new preamplifier, the C-2300. The model follows their classic design having two large rotary controls and a hinged door on the golden front panel, under which various controls are hidden. They include tone controls for treble, midrange and bass, gain switching, channel balance, sub-low pass filter and much more.

The design of this new pre-amplifier is based on a symmetrical dual mono configuration. This entails the use of two totally identical and separate, independent mono amplifiers, each having its own power supply. The design uses the Accuphase proprietary AAVA (Accuphase Analog Vari-gain Amplifier), with a unique solution for the volume control.

Basic analog connectivity includes;

  • 3 stereo balanced XLR line level inputs
  • 6 stereo unbalanced RCA line inputs
  • 1 stereo balanced XLR line level output
  • 2 stereo unbalanced RCA line outputs
  • 1 stereo unbalanced RCA recorder connectionAccuphase Unveils C-2300 Dual Mono Preamplifier

Support for additional input option boards is provided using the two rear panel option slots. These options include digital, analog and phono input boards that support MM/MC phono inputs, optical, coaxial and USB digital inputs and additional line inputs.
