Zidoo Releases UHD8000 8K Media Player & Music Streamer

Zido of China, who are known for their range of high-end home theater media products, have just released their top-of-the-range 8K UDH8000 Media Player. The UHD8000 is compatible with both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ and is a music streamer that supports Hi-Fi streaming and decoding. It features an excellent build quality and is equipped with the Amlogic S928X-K chipset, 8GB DDR4 and 64GB eMMC of large storage. Using custom chips, it supports dual HDMI ports allowing for the separation of the video and audio signals, eliminating possible interference. The main HDMI supports HDMI 2.1 with up to and including 8K@60P output, while two precision audio-specific oscillators are then used to regenerate the clock for the HDMI audio only port, improving sound quality and supporting multi-channel DSD64, DSD512 and 32-bit 768KHz PCM decoding.
The UHD8000 is also a high-performance music streamer & DAC using the new SABER ES9069 DAC chip and contains a range of powerful library management functions. It supports a various wireless and wired streaming protocols to include; TIDAL Connect, UPnP/DLNA and Squeeze lite for music casting, plus it integrates with multiple music streaming services to include ; Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer, KKbox and many more. There’s also a USB DAC input, which allows the device to be used as a high-performance audio decoder when connected to an external music streamer via its USB output.
Internally, both the analog and digital circuits are powered by independent toroidal linear power supplies for clean power and reduced external magnetic field interference.
There are two hidden HDD bays that allow storage to be expanded up to 16TB per drive and with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support, the UHD8000 can be connected to devices like speakers and headphones for wireless listening if required.
The media player utilizes a fully balanced design, with the RCA outputs, XLR outputs and DAC decoding all using the balanced output. This results in better noise immunity and improves channel separation for a more stable signal quality.
Finally, control is available using the include handheld remote that supports both IR and Bluetooth modes or using advanced smart control with specifically developed Android/iPhone/iPad apps. Additional hard wired control is available using RS232, Control4, the trigger out or Wake-on-LAN (WOL) functionality.
