According to Rotel the new RAS-5000 streaming Integrated amplifier and DAC has been designed for simplicity and performance and to: “fit into your lifestyle and elevate your entertainment experience”, promising 140wpc of Class AB power into 8 Ohms. The RAS-5000 seamlessly integrates playback with its integrated HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) for playback of video sound and supports music streaming from Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Internet Radio, or any service available on your computer, tablet, or mobile device via Airplay 2, Google Cast, Roon, or aptXTM HD Bluetooth.
The PC-USB input supports PCM and native MQA and MQA Studio decoding, while the premium ESS DAC can render music files up to 32-bit, 384kHz resolution.
Driving the power hungry electronics is an overengineered linear power supply that uses a massive custom toroidal transformer supporting 220 watts of Class AB power into 4 ohms. The low radiation magnetic field ensures the delivery of ultralow-noise power to all critical components and robust current to the amplifier output transistors. Control is available using the front panel buttons and knob, the supplied IR remote or via your Android or iOS device using their app. The large front panel color display showing the units current status, streaming source information, cover art and song/album metadata and access to the setup and configuration menu options.
In addition to wired and wireless streaming and HDMI ARC connectivity, the RAS-5000 supports a wide range of inputs to include; digital coaxial and optical, and analog stereo unbalanced RCA, with analog outs that include; stereo unbalanced RCA pre-out and RCA subwoofer.
The RAS-5000 is available in either a black or silver finish.
