If you looking for a small desktop stereo amplifier the new Rotel DX-5 may be in your future. This sleek, elegant, and small industrial design provides; 25 watts/channel into 8 ohms or 33 watts/channel into 4 ohms of Class AB power, all powered by an analog toroidal PSU. The model is available in a black or silver finish.
Internally the DX-5 uses a large linear power supply powered by an in-house wound high-current toroidal transformer. While the premium 768KHz ESS ES9039Q2M DAC provides high quality conversion. It supports PC-USB (32-bit/384kHz PCM, DSD 4x), Coaxial/Optical (24-bit/192kHz) and aptX HD and AAC Wireless Bluetooth for Hi-Res audio streaming. HDMI ARC with CEC enables seamless TV audio integration creating a 2.1 home entertainment solution utilizing the included single subwoofer output. The DX-5 is also certified Roon tested.
Its Class AB stereo power amplifiers support up to 33wpc with an overall claimed SNR of greater than 100dB, a damping factor of 140, and a frequency response of 10 Hz – 100KHz ± 0.19 dB.
Control is available using the front panel button for source selection and large precision volume control (0.5dB steps) or the included intuitive aluminum IR remote control, both in conjunction with the front panel full-color TFT display.
Rear panel connectivity includes; 1 x RCA analog line level input, 1 x RCA coaxial, optical, USB-B and HDMI ARC digital inputs, with 1 x RCA sub out and a pair of gold plated stereo speaker binding posts. A 1/4″ (6.3mm) headphone jack is available on the front panel.
