Pro-Ject Unleashes The AC/DC Turntable

The logo of the legendary Australian rock band AC/DC is one of the more recognizable symbols in rock music. Their iconic lighting bolt has now been used to style Pro-Ject’s latest limited special edition belt-drive turntable offering.
At the core of the AC/DC Turntable is a heavy 10mm glass platter that sits on an acrylic sub-platter, providing stability and reducing resonances and vibrations. The sub-platter is supported by a stainless steel axle in a brass bushing and is driven by an AC motor using a flat silicon belt. Speeds supported include 33 and 45RPM which are electronically selected. The sub-platter is also up-lit by a red LED.
Its show-stopping arm is a novel design. This unique 8.6 inch straight acrylic tonearm is inspired by the band’s unmistakable lightening logo.
The arm features spring-based anti-skating and comes pre-fitted with a factory aligned Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge.
Offering a solid support for this special edition design is a 28mm MDF base that has three height adjustable spike feet helping to decouple the turntable from structure born vibrations.
Finally, a pair of phono-level gold-plated RCA connections are provided together with Connect it Phono E RCA cables.
