The last in the line Pro-Ject Perspective Final Edition, is a Transparent Homage to days gone by. The original Transparent Pro-Ject 6.9 Perspective was launched in the 1990’s, built on the commercial success of the Pro-Ject 1 and 2 and marked Pro-Ject’s move into high-end turntables. The original 6.9 Perspective design featured a tonearm and platter on a spring-isolated sub-chassis. This isolated technique reduces the ingress of external vibrations into the pickup process and is the blueprint for the 2023 Pro-Ject Perspective Final Edition.
The Perspective Final Edition is handmade in Europe applying the latest build techniques and upgraded components, it is limited to 400 pieces and is the first deck to receive its maker’s Final Edition treatment. This version features the three spring adjustable decoupled sub-chassis that reduces vibrations from reaching the needle and negatively impacting overall audio performance with the main deck resting on three of height-adjustable aluminum spikes, also designed to minimize vibration.
The 300mm precision aluminum platter, with TPE damping, is mounted on a high-precision stainless steel axle in a bronze bushing and driven by a belt turned by a two-speed electronically controlled DC motor whose speed drift is quoted as 33: +/-0,25%; 45: +/-0,23%.
The turntable comes with a nine-inch, one-piece, carbon fiber tonearm (230mm effective length) with fully adjustable azimuth and height allowing for adjustments in vertical tracking angle (VTA). It comes with a pre-fitted and factory aligned Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge. Rear connectivity is available via the gold-plated RCA connectors using the supplied premium semi-symmetrical phono cable.
Additional refinements that come with the Perspective Final Edition package are its dust cover and personalized certificate of ownership. Buyers can also request a personalized, serial-numbered plaque for their deck.
