Scott and John Bagby Secure 100 Percent Interest in Three Iconic Audio Brands
With many years of combined audio and innovative experience and a strong commitment to the industry, Scott Bagby and John Bagby announced that effective from May 10th, 2019, their successful purchase of Paradigm Electronics, Anthem Electronics, and MartinLogan Loudspeakers.
Scott Bagby, one of the original founders of Paradigm Electronics, will continue as Chairman and assumes the role of CEO for the new group. John Bagby will take on the role of Managing Director.
Shoreview Industries, a Private Equity firm out of Minneapolis, acquired a controlling interest in Paradigm in 2005 leaving Scott continuing with a minority position. Together they created SVI Holdings which then went on to acquire MartinLogan Loudspeakers shortly there after. With the new consolidation of the three brands Shoreview Industries has now exited the business.
These three iconic brands can now hopefully look forward to a bright and healthy future under their new leadership.

Founded in 1979 in Lawrence, Kansas by Gayle Martin Sanders and Ron Logan Sutherland they are one of the leaders in high-end, high-performance electrostatic and thin film loudspeakers. Speaker manufacturer Paradigm Electronics was founded in 1982 by Jerry VanderMarel and Scott Bagby in Toronto, Ontario. They are one of the leaders in the speaker manufacturing industry with award-winning models for the budget conscious to the high end audiophile.
In 1998, Paradigm founders Jerry VanderMarel and Scott Bagby acquired Sonic Frontiers and its Anthem brand.
With over twenty years of experience in the development of amplifiers, DSP and programming, Anthem electronics power some of the most sophisticated high performance speakers and audio systems. Anthem has specialized in high-end pre-amps, amplifiers and AV processor/receivers for music, and home theater systems. Their products feature advanced technologies and are well known for their proprietry Anthem Room Correction (ARC) system.
