Expanding its RZ series to three receivers, Onkyo have announced the addition of the THX Certified TX-RZ30 9.2 channel A/V receiver, the other two model being the 11.2 channel TX-RZ70 and 9.2 channel TX-RZ50 both are again THX Certified. This latest addition features 100 watts of Class A/B amplification per channel, with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, Dirac Live Room Correction, Dolby Atmos 3D Sound, THX Certification, IMAX Enhanced, Klipsch Optimize Mode and more.

The Onkyo TX-RZ30 AVR includes advanced music streaming and connectivity, and works with smart home assistants like Hey Google and Siri. Integrated technologies include; Hi-Res Audio, Roon Tested, HDMI, WiFi Certified, Bluetooth, Works with Apple AirPlay2, Works with Sonos, Chromecast Built-in, Works with Google Home/Cast, Amazon HD Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Spotify, Pandora, Dirac Live, THX Certified, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS X, IMAX Enhanced, TuneIn, Works with Sonos, and Qualcomm aptX HD. Send and receive audio via Bluetooth wireless technology using SBC or AAC codecs, or transmit audio playing through the AVR to compatible wireless devices using SBC, aptX, or aptX HD codecs including 24-bit audio over aptX HD.

The receiver supports HDMI 2.1a, 8K/4K Ultra HD resolution, for 40Gbps transfer speeds and custom low-noise power transformers and smoothing capacitors are said to help the receiver support a frequency response of 5Hz to 100KHz. It comes with Dirac Live Room Correction Full Bandwidth (20 Hz to 20 kHz) to iron out those room and speaker acoustic interactions with an optional license upgrade to support Dirac Live Bass Control, for the two independent subwoofer outputs, which uses machine learning and AI to quickly determine ideal settings for any room layout.

Onkyo and Klipsch have also teamed up to create a special audio mode designed to work with Klipsch’s Reference Premier speaker line. Convenient if you happen to own the appropriate Klipsch speaker package.

Signal connectivity includes; 6 x 8K HDMI in, 2 x 8K HDMI out (main with eARC & sub/zone 2), 2 x composite and 1 component video in, 1 x MM phono in with RIAA EQ, 6 x stereo analog audio in, 1 x coaxial and 1 x optical digital in, 11 x pre-out, 2 sub-out and 9 pairs of speaker binding posts. The AVR comes with its own IR remote with additional external control available using the Ethernet, RS232, IR or 12VDC trigger connections.
