Nagra Streamer Announced – First Look

Nagra’s latest digital product is their streamer, released in the footsteps of their Nagra D high resolution digital recorder and CDC reference CD player. This latest product is full of features and can play all current high resolution file formats.
The Streamer has a half width form factor nd was designed to compliment their Nagra VII digital recorder. Its compact chassis is precisely CNC machined from a solid billet of aluminum making it rugged and rigid. Its small footprint simplifying placement where space maybe at a premium.
The Streamer offers various streaming options like Tidal, Spotify, QOBUZ, vTuner, and upcoming Roon compatibility.
Features At A Glance:
- Tidal connect – you can stream directly from Tidal app
- Spotify connect – you can stream directly from Spotify app
- QOBUZ through mConnect control app (free and available for Apple and Android tablets or phones)
- vTuner (access to thousands of radio stations)
- Roon ready (in progress, not yet available)
- Airplay 2 (for Apple devices)
- UPnP / DLNA for local files
- Plays files directly from a USB key or a USB hard drive.
Rear panel connectivity includes; one JR45 for network connection, one N-Link output for Nagra DACs together with an SPDIF connection for other DACs. The USB port supporting playback from a USB key or USB hard drives.
Power is supplied by an external power supply that maybe upgraded to improve sound quality by using either the Nagra ACPS, MPS or a Classic PSU 12 V power supply.
