NAD has just announced two new amps in its Master Series range, the M23 V2 Stereo Power Amplifier and the M33 V2 BluOS Streaming Amplifier . Both of which are said to offer a “refined sonic performance” and “enhanced connectivity.” over the existing models. Both amps feature aluminum bodies with magnetic iso-point feet and precision-machined detailing.

The M23 V2 power amplifier now features updated Gen 2 Purifi Eigentakt Class D amplifier modules for improved timing and lower distortion. It is bridgeable and capable of doubling the output power in mono mode, delivering 200W per channel or 700W bridged, both into 8 ohms. Stereo analog input is supported on both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections that both have three selectable gain positions and there is a new 12V trigger output with timed delay, to simplify daisy-chaining of multiple amps and preventing surge spikes. Speaker connectivity is offered on two pairs of three way binding posts.

The M33 V2 streaming amplifier also features Gen 2 Purifi Eigentakt Class D amplifier modules providing 200watts into 8 ohms, but now with a full fledged streaming core and MQA hardware. This version of NAD’s Master M33 BluOS streaming amplifier has MQA technology on its analogue inputs and MQA technology in its ESS SABRE ES9039PRO DAC. The design also uses MQA Labs‘ new FOQUS (ADC) and QRONO (DAC) technologies that are said to “Ensure accurate signal conversion and preserve timing, nuance, and spatial cues”. The M32 V2 also comes with Dirac Live and Dirac Live Bass Control (optional license) for optimized room response and precise subwoofer integration.

Other features include; BluOS multi-room streaming, Apple AirPlay 2, aptX HD Bluetooth, HDMI eARC, and over twenty-five music services to include; Amazon Music HD, Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, TuneIn, Napster and Deezer. Control is provided using the front panel touch color display and rotary controls, apps for iOS, Android, Mac OS and Windows plus support for major smart home platforms including; Crestron, Control4, RTI, URC, Elan, Lutron, iPort and KNX.

Rear panel analog and digital connectivity is extensive with stereo analog inputs including; 1 x MM/MC phono plus 1 x RCA and XLR line. Digital inputs include; 2 x coaxial, 2 x optical and 1 x AES XLR. Analog outputs include; 1 x stereo XLR and RCA pre-out,  2 x RCA subwoofer out plus 1 x HDMI eARC, 1 x RJ45 network and 1 x USB Type A. Control is offered via a DB9 RS232, 3.5mm IR and 12VDC 3.5mm trigger I/O. Speaker connections are again to be found on a stereo pair of three-way binding posts.
