Musical Fidelity Announces Nu-Vista 600.2 Integrated Amplifier

Musical Fidelity has just announced the 2025 availability of the Nu-Vista 600.2 integrated amplifier. This revised version of the current 600 model is a substantial upgrade and major overhaul of the original model and arrives in either a silver or a black finish.
The Nu-Vista 600.2 is an all analog design with a dual mono architecture, a multi-array power supply, filtering for both the pre and power sections, and a Class-A tube stage utilizing the renowned 6S51N NuVistor tubes. Musical Fidelity also indicates that the output stage, pre-amplifier, and NuVistor stage topologies have undergone significant revisions and improvements. The power amplifiers provides an output power of 160 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 300 watts at 4 ohms, with peaks of 500 watts at 2 ohms.
Upgrades are extensive with component changes now including; relays for input switching and high quality polypropylene capacitors throughout the signal path. The volume control is now laser trimmed for +/- 0.5dB gain error, even at low levels, and the fully dual mono preamplifier with separate left/right power supplies have been relocated to a newly designed PCB mounted above a screening tray at the top of the unit, resulting in less noise and distortion. This latest design also only uses a Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPSU) when in standby mode.
The substantial heavy weight chassis with milled aluminum side panels is said to provide both immunity against the effects of environmental vibration and immunity from electromagnetic interference as the heavy weight aluminum case acts as a Faraday cage.
This revised layout design enables the rear panel to support two balanced XLR inputs, and a balanced XLR preamp output has also been added. All line outputs are now separately buffered which is claimed to result in no interference between devices connected to any of the preamp outputs. Other signal connectivity includes; 4 x RCA unbalanced stereo line inputs, 1 x RCA unbalanced stereo line out and pre-out. Speaker connectivity is provided on two pairs of 4mm banana plug/ binding posts for each channel, supporting speaker bi-wiring.
