MoFi Electronics Announces UltraPhono Pro Phono Preamplifier

Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs have released the UltraPhono Pro premaplifier, that brings much of the performance of their flagship MasterPhono to a more accessible price point. This latest model is designed by industry veteran Peter Madnick, it is a single-input phono preamplifier built around the same ultra-low-noise circuit concepts and premium parts selection found in the MasterPhono.
On the outside the design is quite simple with front-panel controls providing practical, listener-focused features, including mono mode, muting, a subsonic filter, and dimmable faceplate illumination. Cartridge matching is equally simple, with five loading options for moving-coil cartridges and three selectable gain settings for both the single-ended and balanced outputs. Internally the fully discrete J-FET & MOSFET input/output stages offers gains up to 71dB while maintaining a wide, linear frequency response of 10Hz–50kHz (±0.2dB) and very accurate RIAA equalization (±0.05dB). Noise is kept impressively low by using polypropylene film/foil capacitors, high tolerance resistors, thermally coupled components and a seven-stage regulated balanced power supply.

Rear panel connectivity is simple supporting; 2 x RCA input and 2 x RCA and XLR outputs.
