McIntosh MX180 16-channel, 8K AV Processor Released

The latest high end home theater A/V processor offering from McIntosh is the MX180, supporting 9.1.6 surround and 8K on all seven HDMI ports.
This beast of a processor offers 16 balanced audio outputs for 15.1 or 9.1.6 surround sound speaker configurations making it fully compatible with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D and comes with RoomPerfect room correction technology to measure and adjust the audio output to compensate for room acoustics.
All seven HDMI connections, 5 input and 2 output, support HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 at 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz. With the following additional features:

- Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM)

Besides the two HDMI outputs being capable of simultaneously outputting source material to two separate screens or output different content from two sources to two separate screens, there is a two channel Zone B output to send audio to a second location. Depending on your speaker arrangement, 4 of the outputs can be used for bi-amping some of your speakers or to drive additional subwoofers.
