MartinLogan Dynamo Foundation, Dynamo And Abyss Subwoofers

MartinLogan has announced the launch of its latest subwoofer lineup, the MartinLogan Dynamo Foundation, Dynamo, and Abyss Subwoofers. The Dynamo models echo one of MartinLogan’s most popular products of all time – the original Dynamo subwoofers, while the Abyss are a new generation series designed for compact bass performance.
The Dynamo Foundation models feature; a high-resolution a 200MHz DSP engine with 56-bit processing, MartinLogan’s Magnitude 400 or 700 amplifiers, delivering up to 400W and 700W peak power respectively, and custom designed 10” or 12” Ultra-Rigid Polypropylene (URP) driver. Wired connectivity includes: LFE and stereo RCA inputs. An optional wireless kit (WSK-1) upgrade is also available.
The new Dynamo range features; a 500MHz DSP engine with 64-bit processing, a high-output, high-precision 10” or 12 aluminum woofer in a more compact design and are amplified with MartinLogan’s proprietary Magnitude 1KW Dynamo 10, which delivers up to 1000W Peak (500W RMS) and the Magnitude 1.6kW in Dynamo 12, delivering 1600W Peak (800W RMS). The reinforced cabinet design features a sealed, 1” thick medium-density fiberboard (MDF) cabinet with additional MDF reinforcement on the woofer baffle and includes integrated anti-vibration feet. It comes with an integrated wireless receiver and transmitter that supports; MartinLogan’s Subwoofer Control app for iOS and Android and is compatible with the Anthem Room Correction (ARC®) system. Connectivity includes; both RCA and XLR LFE inputs, stereo RCA inputs, speaker level inputs, and sub out connections.
The ultra-compact Abyss range feature; a 500MHz DSP with 64-bit processing, an 8” or 10” Hybrid Woofer System, which combines an active aluminum woofer with two aluminum passive radiators. The Abyss 8 features the Magnitude 1kW amplifier with up to 1000W Peak (500W RMS), while the Abyss 10 has the Magnitude 1.6kW amplifier, delivering 1600W Peak (800W RMS) of bass.
