The latest LUMIN T3X builds on the design of its predecessor, the T3, offering an upgraded design and enhanced features adding more technology from Lumin’s flagship players. Now featuring; a toroidal linear power supply and optical fiber networking. It is available in a black or raw aluminum anodized finish.

The Lumin T3X chassis is CNC milled from quality high-grade aluminum, and features the following upgrades:

• Internal ultra-low-noise linear power supply:
  • First LUMIN T-series player with a built in linear power supply
  • Ultra-low-noise and high dynamic range
  • Extra large toroidal transformer with shielding
• Dual Network with Optical Fiber Network support:
  • Fiber SFP provides complete isolation from network noise
  • Use simultaneously with RJ45 as a network switch (e.g. connect one to router and one to LUMIN L1/L2 or NAS)

Central to the new T3X performance are the dual ES9028Pro SABRE DAC’s that operate in dual-mono mode, a FEMTO clock that synthesize high-quality, low-jitter clock signals, and internal ultra-low-noise linear power supply using a toroidal transformer. All providing, ultra-low noise, high dynamic range, and high audio quality.

The new Lumin network player now has a S/PDIF output via BNC and an optical SFP socket (1000Base-T gigabit), which can be used simultaneously with the ethernet port thanks to its Dual-Network interface with built-in Network Switch. There is also a pair of USB ports for audio and storage.

The new design is claimed to support “upsampling and downsampling to every supported format up to DSD256/PCM384”. It can play back PCM 44.1 KHz to 384 KHz at 16 and 32-bit rates and native DSD512 via USB. The BNC socket supports PCM at 44.1 KHz to 192 KHz from 16 to 24-bit resolution, while DSD compatibility is via DoP.

Streaming service compatibility includes; Spotify Connect, MQA, Tidal, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, and TuneIn. Additionally, the T3X supports Audirvana and AirPlay and is Roon Ready.

Signal connectivity includes; 1 x stereo unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR outputs, 1 x BNC SPDIF digital out, 1 x copper and 1 x optical network connections and 2 x USB.

Finally, the T3X incorporates the lossless Leedh Processing Volume Control system, with playback and music management via the LUMIN app that is available for the iOS and Android OS.
