Kaleidescape Unveils Strato E

Introducing Kaleidescape’s new entry-level 4K movie player. Providing lossless audio and reference-quality 4K video output, Strato E works on its own or as part of a larger Kaleidescape system. This latest compact 4K player model makes high-performance cinema even more accessible and affordable as physical media and its playback seems to be becoming challenging.
Positioned beneath the flagship Strato V and reference-grade Strato C, the new Strato E is designed for installations where size, cost, are important factors yet still maintaining Kaleidescape’s high playback standards. The Strato E delivers true 4K Ultra HD at up to 100 Mbps and 60fps, together with high-dynamic range compatibility across Dolby Vision, HDR10, and SDR, together with lossless multi-channel audio support that includes; Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and other high-resolution formats.
Like all Kaleidescape players, the Strato E delivers content using downloads rather than streaming. Playback is handled via HDMI 2.1, and the unit integrates easily with leading control systems including; Crestron, Control4, Savant, Josh.ai, and Lutron.
The Strato E comes with a 480GB internal SSD that can support approximately six full-resolution movies, but like all other models’ the storage can be expanded using Kaleidescape’s Terra Prime servers providing a more expansive system supporting a full multi-zone experience and an extended storage capacity. This compact, fanless and silent 1.6lb unit, can be rack or wall mounted.

Just like all other models the Strato E supports full user access to the Kaleidescape Movie Store, that offers thousands of titles of true lossless audio and bit-perfect video for rental or purchase. Previously purchased content can be re-downloaded at any time if SSD space is limited.
